Less is More

I have been following the Less is More Challenge blog since it started a few weeks ago but this is the first week that I have decided to join in. The challenge this week is 3 squares. This is my take on it.

All the cardstock I used is from Stampin Up and so is the Happy Birthday the stamp. I am lovin their stuff!! Wish I'd tried it years ago. I bought the teeny inkpads in the browns and they're gr8 too! Just all the other sets I need now :))
Close up of that gorgeous stamp - did I mention it was free! Makes it all the nicer!

LCI Birthday Nikki

This card is one I made a week or two ago using one of my many Nikki stamps from LCI. I coloured with my Promarkers, layered up a few papers and added a few coloured pearls and a simpe sentiment and there you go!

Happy Nikki on her Birthday!

Unfortunately, this stamp is OUT OF STOCK at LCI at the moment.

On a personal note, I went to the flicks today with hubby n kids (15 n 12) and watched 'Just Go With It' - great film and VERY funny!! Well worth a watch. Also BAFTA have teamed up with Cineworld and are giving away free tickets to certain films over the next week. Click here to see if there is a participating Cineworld near you. We're off to see Toy Story 3 sunday evening - and for FREE!!! How cool is that?!

Thanks for looking.

Open card

Evening bloggers

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for a friend who likes to 'have a few in her draw'. She loved it! I think it's quite elegant myself! What do you think?

I bought this gorgeous dress on a hanger aaaaaggggggeeeeesssssssssss ago! It's sooo pretty I didn't want to use it but I thought ... well I can't just look at it forever so decided to put it on a card.
The lovely green ribbon makes a great contrast and there's no sentiment so the card can be used for lots of different occasions.

Valentines

Happy Valentines Day :)

This is the card I made for my lovely hubby. I gave it him this morning and he really liked it.

I can't get away from the clean and simple style - I think I've defo found my style!

Thanks for looking - oh and let me know what you think of my new blog signature - I was working on it yesterday and I really love it! I just need to figure out how to add it automatically to the end of each post ... so if anyone has any tips for me, I'd appreciate it!

Grandson

Hello.

I have had a lovely afternoon sorting out my stamps and making a couple of cards. I have put most of my clear stamps in folders as I have seen on quite a few different blogs. I will show you all my storage when I have my craft room which will (hopefully) be later this year.

I was asked to make this card by a friend at work who's grandson is going to be 2 soon. Hope he (and grandma!) likes it.

You can just about make out on this pic that I put glossy accents over the football.

Gotta love those loopy lou letters!!

I haven't done any colouring for a while but I think I did alright!!

I made a valentines card for my hubby today too but I'll post that tomorrow when he's seen it first!

Not quite the same!

Hello!

Yesterday was two work colleagues birthdays. They work in the same office too so it was full of cards!

I made these two cards using the same papers but changed the design slightly .

I love these cute little 4" cards.

Happy Birthday Pops!

Hello all.

It's my dad's birthday today and also my step-brothers too!

This is the card I made for my pops
 Lovely and simple!
A close up of those cute little owls.

This is the card I made for my step-brother. I bought the sentiment stamp from fellow blogger and friend Victoria - a great Stampin Up demonstrator based in Nottingham. So if you need any supplies!

I made another card with this stamp for my niece which you'll see soon.

Thanks for looking.

Teeny boxes!

Hello :)

As promised - here are some teeny boxes I made for Valentines gifts. Each box containes two heart shaped chocolates wrapped in pink and red foil. I am going to sell them at work, but my step-son has nabbed one already for his girlfriend! He has promised unlimited cups of tea for the next month as payment! We'll see!!

All six boxes together

The top of the box

To give you an idea of how small they are I put one next to my cup of tea.

Rather cute aren't they??
(It actually measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1")

I couldn't find a template or instructions anywhere on the 'net for a box this small, so I made it up myself. It took a couple of goes but in the end I was really pleased :))

I've had a very 'crafty' day today so I've plenty to post so please pop back and have a look during the week.

Mini Notecards and Box Set

Good evening,

I've got the bug now for making boxes so I made this one and some mini cards and envelopes to go in it.

I think it's rather cute but the pictures aren't that great!

A close up of one of the cards - they are 3" square
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the envelopes!

I'm going to have a go at making some really teeny boxes for valentines so I'll hopefully have them to show soon. Watch this space!!
