Happy Birthday

I made this card for my friend Laura whose birthday is today.
Happy Birthday Laura!

I made this when I thought i had lost my mojo but I was quite happy with it  when I had finished even though it's quite plain.

I used my new 'me to you bear' stamp but thought that Promarkers would be to 'heavy' to colour him with so I just lightly went over him with a grey pencil colour. I'm not great at colouring with pencils so don't look too close!! The sentiment is from a 'me to you' set that came in a lucky bag that I just couldn't resist!
I used my Fiskars ribbon punch which I've not used in forever and put some teeny gems in the gaps between the ribbon to finish off.

Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday Daughter

This is the card I made for my daughter who turned 13 - finally a teenager - just over a week ago! A funny age to make a card for really. Not into pink n girly anymore but nothing too 'grown up' required either. Anyway, I went with this simple design and she loved it! I didn't dare post it before as Chloe does check out my blog occasionally.

I have 'stickled' the hearts and I stamped the flowers on the purple card and put a teeny gem in the centre of each one. It's actually quite a sparkly card but the picture's not that great :(

Thanks for looking.

Less is More

I have been following the Less is More Challenge blog since it started a few weeks ago but this is the first week that I have decided to join in. The challenge this week is 3 squares. This is my take on it.

All the cardstock I used is from Stampin Up and so is the Happy Birthday the stamp. I am lovin their stuff!! Wish I'd tried it years ago. I bought the teeny inkpads in the browns and they're gr8 too! Just all the other sets I need now :))
Close up of that gorgeous stamp - did I mention it was free! Makes it all the nicer!

Thanks for looking
