Big Shot

I've treated myself to a Big Shot and some lovely Nesties! Now I just can't wait for it to come so I can play :))

I ordered it from Craftsuperstore where it is only £54.99 and if you order before midnight on Sunday you get an additional 500 loyalty points worth £5. Fabuloso!!

Look out for some lovely shapes on my cards in the very near future.

Zumba!

OMG - Have any of you ever been to a Zumba class? It's like exercise for your hips, bum and thighs but with a few dance style moves thrown in - lots of hip wiggling and bum shakin! Only trouble is, I shake mine and it keeps going lol! Anyway, it was good fun and I'll defo go again.

Here are a few of the cards I did last Sunday

this cute little umbrella charm was from Nutcrafters

Can't you tell I love my Anya's?

More crafting to come this weekend as I have a few birthdays coming up and a few expectant mothers!

Girly 40th

Hi there. I was asked to make a girly card by Angela for her friends 40th birthday. I made this card this evening. What do you think?

I used one of my fave Nikki stamps from Ladybug Crafts Ink.

I added some lovely stickles to glitter up her dress

and a gorgeous flower from Pink Gem Designs and some clear gems to finish off

I've still got some cards from sunday to upload but think I'll do that tomorrow as Desperate Housewives is on in a few minutes!!

My 1st Comp Entry!

I thought it was high time I entered one of my cards into a competition. There are so many out there! I have been following the Anyone For Anya blog for a while now and as they are my 'at the mo' fave stamps I thought "why not".

So here is my entry:

and I embossed the sentiment to make it stand out against the black.

I've made a few cards today so I'll post them throughout the week.

Nearly Friday!

Well, this week has flown by!

I'm sooo glad the weekend is nearly here so I can do some crafting!

My daughter is picking me some numbers for the Euro Millions Lottery (which I don't normally do) as she has a feeling we're gonna win! Bless her - she's only 12 but hey you never know .... gotta be 'in it to win it' and all that! If I win big I can buy a new house and have the craft room that I have been craving like FOREVER!! (well, about a year and a half te he!)

Hopefully will have some lovely cards to post on Sunday (that's when I mostly get the chance to craft) so watch this space!

Saturday 17 April 2010

Well - it's been a very busy week settling back into work, getting back in a routine (getting up at 5.50am!) and missing crafting, booooo!! I managed to do a card mid week but have only just got round to posting it :(

This is a 60th card that one of my best friends at work (Angela) asked me to make for a friend of hers. Her birthday was yesterday and they were going out last night so Ang is probably nursing a sore head now!!

I added some stickles on the skirt to glam it up!

and some pretty flowers and gold brads to finish off

I hope she liked it.

I am off out soon for a meal and then to watch a play called Blood Wedding at the Nottingham Playhouse.

Back to Work :((

Hi,

Today was my first day back at work after a two week break for Easter. My, what a shock to the system getting up before 6am! I know it was only two weeks but you soon get used to a lie in until 7.30 - 8am!!

Anyway, as I don't have a craft room to hide in to make cards on a daily basis, today I am showing you one I made for my gorgeous daughter Chloe for her 12th birthday which was at the end of March.

This was my first attempt at shading with my promarkers

Just a short post today - off to make the dinner now - chicken pasta carbonara for everyone else and salad for me - need to lose a few more pounds!!

Another card

I've added this separately as the blog was being a pain!!

I made this card for my nephews 6th birthday. It was my first time colouring a bear but it looks ok i think?

Here is a close up:

Not bad huh?

There are a few more cards I've done but I'll add those tomorrow.

Hellooooo!!

Well, I've finally decided to make my own blog!

I have been following several crafting blogs for quite a while now and have been making cards for a year or so and decided it was about time I showed you some of my own creations.

I discovered Anya about 6 weeks ago and Nikki & Friends about 3 months ago so they are often the basis for my cards.

Well, without further ado - here are quite a few cards I have made this past week.

Martini Nikki can be glamorous or quite casual as I've done her here. Notice I added a bit of sparkle for the actual Martini?
All the other cards feature stamps from The Greeting Farm.
The last card is made using Ebony from The Greeting Farm. I have watched a few tutorials on colouring and don't think I did too bad a job?
All colouring is done using Promarkers and Sakura gel pens.
