40th Birthday

Happy Bank Holiday Monday to all!! Hope you're having a crafty day. I have only managed one card so far as we've been out swimming with the kids and then to buy some new bits for the hamster - Cookie. He's such a cutie.

Anyway, here's the card ... my first using a Tilda. One of my lovely blog followers Debbie stamped some Tilda's and posted them to me. Thanks again Debbie. Let me know what you think of my 1st Tilda card.

I am entering Sketch Saturday #105 with this card.

Enjoy the rest of your day and don't get wet in the rain tomorrow! But by Thursday it will be hot hot hot again - yippee!! (If the weather forecast is right anyway, lol)

Baby on the Way!

This card is for an expectant mum (as if you hadn't guessed lol!!). This card is entered into Friday Sketchers sketch #104 as I followed their sketch.

The stamp is Lucy from In Style which you can purchase from Dies to Die For by clicking here. I coloured her with Promarkers and cut her out with a Nestie. The patterned papers used are from Basic Grey Bittersweet paper pad which I have had for a while now. The rest are from my stash. The sentiment was just typed up in word and printed onto card and then I finished off with a lovely flower and a few gems.

Hope you like and thanks for looking.

Hugs, Donna x

Father's Day Cards

Hi there bloggers! Today I have been making the 6 yes 6! father's day cards requested by the same person! She gives to grandads too so that's why she needed so many!

I didn't follow any sketches or themes, so no comp entries here.

Thanks for looking, Donna x

I blinged her martini up a bit!

The next card is for a lady and the request was 'floral'. I have entered this into

My stash used for this card is:

Well, this is my final post for today. As you can see I have been a busy buzzy bee again this week! I have a lot of friends at work that keep requesting cards from me! I still have another 9 cards to make, but I only have one more week at work and then I have a week off so I can catch up then!

This final card is for one of my friends best friend. Fingers crossed she'll like it. I would like to enter this for Anyone for Anya Challenge - Double Trouble 23.5.10 and Sketch Saturday week #104 as I followed their sketch (I put the sentiment in a different place but I hope that's OK?).

Well that's me done for the day! Thank you to those who have looked at all 4 of my posts ... hope it wasn't too tedious!

Buzzy hugs, Donna x

Post 3 of 4!

This next card was a request and the recipient has a love of cats. This is my favourite card of all the ones that I made today. What do you think?

I would like this to be entered into Penny Black Saturday Challenge #102 lots of dots, Polka Doodle week 20 challenge Something for mum and also Friday Sketchers sketch #103 as this is the sketch I followed.

I added stickles to all the bubbles but it doesn't show up very well in the piccie.

Phew, nearly there - just one more post to go!

2nd Post of the day

I've been a busy buzzy bee today and done another 3 cards. These are all ones that friends have asked me to do so I hope they like them.

The first one, I am entering for Anyone for Anya 'dont be square' challenge.

The next two are for sisters. The 8 year old was a no no for any pink, although I did colour one of the shopping bags pink!
I would like this next card to be entered for Sketch and Stash challenge #35 as I followed their sketch. I used an Anya stamp, Promarkers to colour, ribbon from my local market and all the papers, gems, and the flower are from my ever growing stash! I printed the number 8 from my computer and die-cut it with a nestability.

This 6th birthday card was requested to be VERY pink - I think I've succeeded!
I saw a card layout like this somewhere but I can't remember where, so whoever designed this sketch - I thank you!

Well, thats me for today. Hope you enjoyed looking and thanks for buzzin by, Donna x

Wedding Card

My friend Dina asked me to make a wedding card for her friends that are marrying next weekend. She gave me NO IDEA of what she wanted!! I hope she likes it! I'll let you know when I give it to her ... fingers crossed!!

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and would like this card to be entered.

A close up of the babys breath flowers from Wild Orchid Craft which you can buy by clicking here. I typed the names in word (French Script), printed onto card and then stamped the heart over the top (luckily I had a clear stamp lol) and then cut round them freehand.

The printed paper with wedding words is from the Making Memories 'Wedding' stack.

I have loads more cards to make so hopefully there will be some more to post later today.

Baby Cards

Hi all, as you may know by now Sunday is my main crafting day and today is no exception. Unfortunately I have been quite busy with other things so have only managed 2 cards today :((

My friend Tracey's step-daughter is expecting any day now but they don't know if they're having a boy or a girl so I made one of each. For the baby girl I have followed the sketch over on Friday Sketchers #101 and would like this card to be entered.

For the baby boy I followed a sketch on Simply Sketches which I found whilst blogging around. It's actually from July 2009 but hey, sketches don't go out of date do they?!!
I would like to enter this card into Cute Card Thursday Challenge- #111 boyz to men

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Sketch and Stash & Forever Friends

Good evening - its 10.40pm and I've just finished another 40th card for my friend Angela to give to our friend Laura who is 40 tomorrow. I know if I had a craft room I would have been finished ages ago but I have to keep going back in my bedroom to get more bits and pieces that I need. At least my bedroom is downstairs so I'm not up and down disturbing the kids!

Anyway here's the card and I'm entering this into the Sketch and Stash Challenge #34 and the Forever Friends Challenge 3rd May Flowers or Nature.

I followed the sketch and used a Forever Friends stamp coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from the Daisy & Dandelion Hawthorn & Bramble pack from docrafts which I bought from my local craft store. The holographic lace sticker is Anita's and the flowers are Prima. I didn't have a flower big enough to go behind the 40 so I cut some up and stuck the petals on individually. The gems are Bling from Hobbycraft.

I added some stickles on the flower and Laura's name on the tag on the parcel - cute huh!

I'm going to pack up and get some sleep now.

Night all, Donna x

40th Birthday and another few competitions!

Hello to you on this fine Bank Holiday Monday! Did you detect a note of sarcasm?? Here in Nottingham it has rained on and off all day and at one stage it was even hail stoning!!!

Anyway, it gave me the opportunity to scour the blogs out there for some more competitions to enter and some inspiration.

This card is for my friend Laura who is 40 on Wednesday and who I owe my interest of card making and scrapbooking to! Or should I not thank her - it's not the cheapest hobby in the world lol!!

I would like to enter this card into:

The stamp I have used is Kaya with Flowers from Pink Gem Designs and you can buy her by clicking here.

I have coloured Kaya with my Promarkers and have used various papers from my stash and some more of the lovely felt flower trim from Papermania.

Hope you are all having a lovely Bank Holiday.

Cards and Competitions

Well it's Sunday - my main crafting day and today I have made 3 cards (not many but I've had other things on my mind!)

I am entering this one in the Friday Sketchers #100 and also the Anyone For Anya - Lotsa Layers
You can see from this picture that I have used 'lotsa layers' of card and flowers!

This card is for my MIL's birthday - hope she likes it.

This last one is my favourite but I kinda spoiled it with the sentiment so don't look too closely!!
I have found a competition that this card fits perfectly so am entering into the charismacardzchallenge #17 - girly card with flowers
I think I can safely say its girly!

The stamp is Chloe on swing from Pink Gem Designs and you can purchase her by clicking here. The papers I have used are from Papermania Henbury Lane collection and the daisy border is a Felt Floral Trim again from Papermania. I bought those in my local craft store yesterday.

I'm really getting into this competition business and I love the sketches that I am coming across - it really gives me inspiration.
